Day Students

South Kent School's prominence in the local area is evident by the school's consistent day student population. Day students keep the same schedule of daily assignments and commitments as boarding students. While on campus and at school events, they are bound by the same school rules and regulations.

Day students are expected to arrive at school in time for their first commitment and to stay until they have met their last commitment. Day students may stay for dinner; however, they are not required to do so. Unless they have made arrangements to spend the night, they must leave no later than dormitory call-in at 10 pm.

Prospective day students may apply for the School's Day Student Merit Scholarship Program. Academic scholarships of up to 50% of annual tuition are awarded to applicants who demonstrate strong academic commitment, consistent scholastic achievement, and a sincere desire to make a contribution to their community.
