Prep Basketball

Click here to see where South Kent student-athletes have continued their careers.

South Kent has placed a renewed focus on its basketball program with additional resources to coaches and players. The program is now fielding three different teams – prep, varsity and junior varsity.

The prep team is the school’s elite players – 10-12 players of the highest caliber. The 30+ game schedule is played competing at the highest level of prep school basketball, against teams in the A division.

Philosophy

Playing hard and playing together is what South Kent Basketball is all about. We will create offense from our defense and look to score early and often. We will run the floor and always look to make the extra pass. We will play as a team and win as a team.

The idea is to prepare these young men for the challenges of competing in Division I collegiate basketball. Keeping that in mind we will run every aspect of our program as such, the members of the program are provided quality instruction with access to state-of-the-art facilities. Practices, individual instruction and the weight-training programs will be conducted at the highest levels. Athletes will be challenged daily and will improve at South Kent School. Our goal is to continue to produce quality students and quality athletes.
