Applying to South Kent

If you have not already done so, please contact the Admissions Office to express your interest in South Kent School or complete an online admissions inquiry.

1.) Complete our online application

and submit it to our office by February 15 along with the $50 application fee ($100 for international applicants). If you need a hard copy of the application, please call our office or complete the online inquiry form and we will be happy to mail one to you.

2.) Come for a visit! Please call the Admissions Office to schedule a campus visit. Appointments are available Monday through Friday during the academic day and will include an interview and a tour led by one of our appointed student tour-guides. If you would like to meet with a specific program director or coaches, please let us know upon scheduling your visit and we will make appropriate arrangements for you.

3.) If you are a 9th or 10th grade applicant, you must register to take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). Registration information is available online at www.ssat.org. Our SSAT Code number is 7420. If applicable, we will also consider other testing; such as the PSAT or the SAT. Our international applicants may also submit TOEFL or SLEP scores. Please consult with our office to determine which test is most appropriate for your situation.

4.) Distribute the Transcript Release, Guidance Counselor/Advisor recommendation form, Math and English teacher recommendation forms, as well as any Extracurricular recommendation form(s), and ask that they be returned directly to South Kent before February 15.

6.) We encourage you to stay in touch with the Admissions Office to check on the status of your application and supporting materials. We will notify you when your application is complete and ready for review by the Admissions Committee. Decision letters are mailed on March 10 and your reply is expected by April 10. Applications received after March 10 will be considered on a rolling admission basis. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like more information.
